Do you like Holes so far?

I have finished the book. It's quite interesting, at least better than the reader last year. : )

I think it's quite good. It sounds full of mysteries. It is so interesting.

I think Holes is a very nice book, it is so funny and interesting!!

better than "Journey to the River Sea" last year

actually, i tried reading it last year but i just couldn't really get into the story
i'm hoping that i'll be able to finish it this time or i'll just have to watch the movie

I've read Holes before, but it about a year ago, so I can't really remember the details of it. Now that we are reading it again, I find it really entertaining as the author used humor in some of the chapters to make it more interesting. I would like to finish it as quickly as possible because its so addicting!!! Also I like how the author uses the one word sentance, I think its more powerful then saying " You won't die usually.".

There are bunches of stuff these days so I haven't read many pages of it ^^"
If you want me to read books I'll prefer novels which are about adventures of a juvanile (← new word learnt in today's lesson hope that I'm not using it wrongly hehe) But not dangerous ones, just simple ones will be nice
Holes is a adventure story, so it's ok for me

I read the book for two times already. I think it is quite good and intresting. I think Stanley is so poor because he needs to dig holes but I think it will be good meathod for the ones who wants to be slimer. This will cretainly do a good job for sliming.
P.S: At least it is not as boring as Journey to the River Sea.

I agree with Kannie. Stanley is much better than Maia. Maia seemed a little too perfect. Maia is actually luckier than Eva Ibbotson described her, while Stanley really deserves readers' sympathy.

When I first read Holes, I found it interesting. It was a great book but it became AMAZING when I reached the part about Sam and Kate. It added a certain spark to the book that about two years later, I read it agian. There only a few books which I've read over and over, and Holes is one of them.

When you re-read a book you can find out so much more about it because YOU bring a new understanding and a YOU bring new experiences to the book. The book hasn't changed but rather you have that is why reading a new book can bring a new experience that can be very enjoyable.

Yes, I like "Holes" very much. As I know, the literature books last year were very boring, so at the beginning in the year, I think the literature book in English we'll read in this year will not better than that much. But when I started to read "Holes", I feel it was really interesting. Although some parts are not as interested as I think, also a little bit bored, but on the whole, it is very interested. Although I have already finished the book, I would like to re-read it again! I don't want to waste such a good book. Also, I like Stanley's character very much.
