The Carpenters and their music!

I didn't know "The Carpenters" is what before. Few days ago when I was surfing the net, I saw a song named "Yesterday Once More" accidentally, then I went to Youtube to listen to that song. Except the facial expression of Karen Carpenter was a bit strange (haha), the overall is nice. The melody of this song is quite good, and I love the lyrics, which made me felt unhappy when I was listening. Then I saw Karen Carpenter looks much younger in some other videos, a few question marks jumped to my head at that moment, so I watched a few of them curiously. When the songs were playing, I discovered that I had heard some of the verses before. The song of the Carpenters are really great, especially the lyrics of them, very meaningful. After listening to some of them, I searched for the information of the Carpenters, I found that the Carpenters was a very famous band, formed by a brother and a sister, Richard Carpenter and Karen Carpenter. Richard has great talent on music, and Karen has a nice voice. It was great pity that Karen died in a young age, her llife is a tragedy =[. "The Carpenters" is such a legend. A place in the "Hollywood Walk of Fame" has given to them. I'm going to share a few songs of the Carpenters that I like most and very classic to you guys .

Yes!! Their music is so relaxing and beautiful. Karen Carpentar sings so beautiful! I like the song "Close to you" the best because it has a really nice melody and tune to it.

Her music is timeless and has a universal rhythm that anyone can follow.

I agree. Their music make me very comfortable . My parents love their music too.

I don't know who is the Carpenters at first. But then after I have heard of their songs, I gradually love this band, especially for Karen. Her voice is so sweet and I hope I can also sing so well when I grow up.

My mother is their super fans. She told me that she loves them since she was studying.

Actually, When i was a little child,
my parents had already let me to hear the songs of "The Carpenters" ,
"Bee Gees" ,"Eagles" ,'Pink Floyd" ,"Elton John" ,"Beatles"...s' Music
Although I'm not a folk lover,
but She sings fine...
but so unfortunately,
she leave us already...

There a lot of CD's here at home. Most of them are my dad's.
I loved Yesterday Once More so much that I actually listened to the song over and over again so I could write the lyrics! (this was when I was a lot younger and I didn't know about Google)
When I was in kindergarten, my favourite songs were Michael Johnson's Bluer than Blue, Dan Fogelberg's Longer and Falling
There are other groups and singers I like. For example, Peter, Paul and Mary, WHAM, ABBA, Bee Gees, A-HA, David Pomeranz, Barry Manilow, Cyndi Lauper, REO Speedwagon, Culture Club, Bangles, Belinda Carlisle, Nena and Paula Abdul. Most of them, I know by a single song they sang which I came across in albums that feature various artists. But I still like them all the same.

Yes, I love their songs very much, it is very beautiful and give me a feeling of comfortable! The music is very familiar especially "Top Of The World", I am sure that I have listen to this song when I was small, and I remember that I listen to this song when I am going to sleep, but that time, I didn't know who the singers are. Now, I realise they are the Carpenters. I really love the song "Top Of The World", when I listen to it, I really really feel comfortable! I listen to it many times and sing it with them!

I love "Yesterday Once More" very much because it is such a soothing song. Actually I heard this song when was a little girl. I forgot where I heard it but I have the memory of listening this piece of music. After all this is a lovely song and I like it very much.
